FRC's love/hate for govt. overreach: A tale in two email headers

by Jeremy Hooper

Couldn't help but note the irony of this one-two punch from yesterday. First to hit the G-A-Y Inbox: Support for federal government interfering in the private lives of certain Americans and the abilities of certain states:

Then, just a few hours later from the same organization: A call to end that ever-pesky "big government":

Really, FRC? Because using the government's power, for the first time in the history of our civil marriage law, to stop federal recognition of certain marriages performed in states where such are fully legal -- that's somehow "small"? Interesting.

But then again, this organization also claims to stand for "family research" while simultaneously putting their fingers in their ears and blinders on their eyes whenever credible research supports certain kinds of American families. Consistency doesn't seem to be a strong suit.
