A lesson in how not to handle a "culture war" question if you have positioned yourself as a "family values" kind of person. A lesson in how not to handle an interview if you have positioned yourself as a media-trained kind of commentator:
Oh, that "gotcha" media: Where a host's desire to address something not in the guest's preconceived script is considered "rude" and pertinent issue questions are spun as some sort of "attack."
