Gov. Christie joins the race -- to chide Viki Knox' comments
Now this is sure to ruffle some socially conservative feathers:
TRENTON — Gov. Chris Christie said he is concerned about statements made by Viki Knox, a high school teacher whose anti-gay Facebook comments set off a debate about free speech and gay rights.
"I think that kind of example is not a positive one at all to be setting for folks who have such an important and influential position in our society," Christie said this morning on 770 WABC Radio. "I'm really concerned about those kinds of statements being made."
Christie said he finds the comments "disturbing."

Groups like the National Organization For Marriage are already attaching martyr status to Knox. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised to see Knox as NOM's next "Marriage Anti-Defamation" video star. So what will they say now that GOP darling Chris Christie is highlighting the obvious problems with a public school employee pushing rhetoric that makes every single LGBT student and ally who comes under her tutelage feel uncomfortable, at best?
