NY civil rights opponents fall to knees; equality advocates run onward with history

by Jeremy Hooper

Despite years of attempts to convince America that the judiciary is activist and not fit to consider matters pertaining to same-sex marriage, the social conservatives are now looking to New York's courts to overturn the state's marriage equality law. But first, they're having a "hearing" on their knees:

Early Monday morning dozens gathered outside the Livingston County Courthouse in Geneseo, NY. They came to pray regarding a lawsuit that New Yorkers for Constitutional Freedoms (NYCF) filed questioning the legality of the process whereby same-sex “marriage” became law in New York.

“It’s important that God’s people remember that these battles are first and best fought on our knees,” said Rev. Duane Motley, NYCF’s Founder and a plaintiff in the case.

Gay "Marriage" Hearing Held [NYCF]

What battle? We fought. The legislature voted. The governor signed. We won. This is now the honeymoon phase here in good ol' New York. And how sweet it is!

Most people seem to think that this ridiculous case -- headed by the uber-anti-LGBT Liberty Counsel, who condemned the Prop 8 defense for not being anti-gay enough -- will be tossed for the merit-lacking nonsense that it is. Because agendas are not facts. "God's people" are not suppressive roles earned by self-appointment. Knees are not legal books.
