Elaine Donnelly's new hobby: Pumping same old well even though it's bone dry
Elaine Donnelly has spent the past decade trying to convince America to ban gays from the military. She failed. Not only was she unsuccessful in getting a full-out ban reinstated, but she couldn't even keep Don't Ask Don't Tell (which she always disliked) in place. America now supports inclusive, open service. All credible polling tells us as much.
But you gotta give her points for determination, as far as it goes. Because ya see, Elaine is still taking time out of her day to fault others for doing the right and fair thing:
"Ron Paul voted twice in favor of gays in the military," [Donnelly] notes. "He voted for repeal of the 1993 law, which has ushered a new concept -- what we call the LGBT law for the military -- to advance lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender rights.
"I think Mr. Paul should indeed acknowledge that vote," she concludes. "He should be held accountable for it."
Activist reminds Iowa voters re: Paul [ONN]
In truth, Congressman Paul has been quite forthright about his DADT repeal vote. It's just that Elaine is so hellbent on keeping the lights on at Military Bias Inc., she has to say something -- ANYTHING! -- to make supporters of this benign right seem secretive and shady. In this case, it's asking Ron Paul to acknowledge something he's made no attempt to hide. Who knows, maybe tomorrow it'll involve Elaine literally bringing a dead horse before public viewing then proceeding to beat it senseless?
