Brian Raum's shocking terrible testimony #MDSSM

Alliance Defense Fund attorney Brian Raum once wrote that "people engaged in homosexual conduct" bring physical and mental harms upon themselves because of "the path they are traveling down." He added: "we tell them 'it gets better' when, in fact, it does not."

Well obviously Brian wasn't so honest about his true anti-gay feelings when speaking at today's Maryland Senate Judicial Proceedings hearing, because our organized opponents almost never have the wherewithal to be so honest when legislative bodies, cable news cameras, etc. are on hand to hear them and when they need to pretend to only be out to "protect marriage." But perhaps Brian should have trusted what we know to be his feelings, since his marriage testimony was so clumsy, self-defeating, and instrumental in fleshing out the untenability of the anti-equality crowd's pick-and-choose views on discrimination, that he probably would've done less damage going with the "gay people harm themselves" thing.

Igor Volsky has the pertinent exchange, between Raum and MD Senator Jamie Raskin (D):
