Video: The true Tony Perkins. The one you won't see on tomorrow's 'Morning Joe'
Tomorrow morning, MSNBC will yet again host Tony Perkins on their airwaves, this time on the "Morning Joe" program. if history is any guide, Tony will again be presented as little more than a conservative pundit with insight into the 2012 primary.
But before that happens, Tony will again show us his true colors -- the ones LGBT people see all the time but that the mainstream media tends to greet with blind eyes -- when he and his pal Tim Wildmon give sympathetic platform to a man, Patrick Wooden, who says the LGBT civil rights fight is an insult, is really a fight for a "death style" that "causes the breakdown of the human body," and a "special rights" push that is more offensive to African Americans than "the n word":
*More of Tony's MSM-overlooked truth: An organization that positions gays as kid-threatening disasters in need of "ex-gay" therapy, churns out brochures that compare same-sex marriages to those bonds which might exist between a man and a horse (complete with horse photo), directly likens us to terrorists, calla LGBT rights a battle of "good versus evil," says DADT repeal proponents are "willing to jeopardize our nation’s security to advance the agenda of the radical homosexual lobby," claims gay teens kill themselves because they know that they're "abnormal," says the gay activists who challenge FRC are "held captive by the enemy," writes that same-sex marriage will be "opening the door to all manner of moral and social evil, tweets that gays don't need to "be a slave to feelings," fundraises around the idea that gay kids are immoral and telling them otherwise is "disgusting,"and calls on U.S. gays to be either "exported" or criminalized (to name just a few examples).
*Just yesterday, this same Patrick Wooden claimed adult gay men “have to wear a diaper or a butt plug just to be able to contain their bowels.”
Tell me, MSNC producers: Which of your other regular guests support this kind of rhetoric against an entire group of people (including a few of your own hosts) and still retains bookings?
