Washington marriage equality: Future's so bright, usual suspects sure to throw shade
Great news out of Washington state, where the Associated Press is reporting that the legislature is close to having enough votes to pass a marriage equality bill:

This would of course be the second Washington to achieve marriage equality, since D.C. enacted it in 2010 (after late '09 passage). Though it'd be the first West Coast state to have it and hold it here in 2012. And come on -- the Pacific Ocean is getting totally bored of only opposite-sex couples "I do"-ing on its shores. It's high time for WA to earn back what CA saw robbed from its own time zone!
The bill, which Gov. Chris Gregoire first brought to the fore last week, seems to be on a fast track. So as we all try to distinguish our Newts from our Mitts and try to keep our anti-gay Ricks straight, let's remember to send some good mojo to the Pacific Northwest!!
