NOM affiliate leader 'likes' one of anti-gaydom's harshest orgs
Peter LaBarbera's so-called Americans For Truth About Homosexuality group is one of the most incendiary outfits working today. The group has been on the Southern Poverty Law Center's "hate groups" list for a couple of years now, thanks to an all-out war on homosexuality that goes well beyond the political and right to the personal (Remember: Peter's the guy who took a screen cap from my wedding and wrote "This is what perversion looks like" on top of it).
So it's really interesting to see the National Organization For Marriage's own Jennifer Roback Morse (head of NOM's Ruth Institute) declaring her AFTAH fandom via her public Facebook wall:

I say interesting, of course, because NOM likes to pretend it is this nice, sweet, pragmatic, engaged organization that is only out to "protect" something and certainly not attack anyone. Peter and his organization are the exact opposite. Peter is part of the crowd that makes no bones about its goal of eliminating homosexuality from society, and AFTAH is a unapologetically outspoken conduit through which to channel this hostile war against "the perversion of homosexuality":
