Maggie bemoans frustrating political distractions; her keyboard apparently a mirror
Maggie Gallagher writing in her latest syndicated column:
"Our endless media culture is dominated by irrelevant distractions purposely made up to confuse voters. ...Americans are increasingly frustrated with our political process. We want to be proud of our country. And our politics is making it increasingly hard." [Maggie]
Says the person whose name is synonymous with divisive, discriminatory, politically distracting, fear-mongering, voter-confusing wars against same-sex couple's marital rights.
Frustrated with the process? Yes, Maggie. And I would argue that when the early 21st century's history is written, there'll be no single distraction that'll be more frowned upon than the far-right "protect marriage" war that was so carelessly waged at a time in American history when responsible stewards had every reason to not.
