Ron 'gays are worse than maggots' Baity is man behind NC's Amendment 1 billboards
Ron Baity's Return America organization has erected these billboards throughout the state of North Carolina:
So now, a friendly reminder of who Ron Baity is and what kind of America he'd like to see return. Enjoy these clips:
We can start with the one where Ron Baity implies that gays are worse than maggots:
Not only are we worse than maggots—we're also like murderers, apparently:
But Baity doesn't hate anyone—he just wants to "save" us so we will "quit being homos":

He thinks gays are embracing a "learned lifestyle," science be damned:
Gays are also abnormal to Baity:
Gays are promoting "perversion" in schools:
Kids who join GLSEN clubs should "set down in the middle of next week" (a seeming play on the "knock into next week" phrase):

The LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual, and trisexual, apparently) community wants to use their "lifestyles" to "recruit" folks towards the "urban renewal program" experienced by Sodom & Gomorrah, since the homosexuals' "pleasure in doing evil" is "the one sin in the Bible that causes God to act swiftly"

Oh, and there's Pastor Baity's monthly newsletter, where one will reliably find animus-filled tripe like this:
"Since they cannot produce they must recruit young people to their perverted, warped agenda. One cannot think of anything more nauseating, debased, lewd and immoral than recruiting precious young people into such shameful conduct."

This is the guy who is constructing road signs in support of Amendment 1. This is also the guy who will be rallying the North Carolina forces on April 20th of this year, just as he did days before the 2011 legislative vote.
Bur more than anything, Baity is one of the many people who are rapidly turning Vote For Marriage NC into the most obviously animus-driven marriage campaign of all time. Before you go to make a return, North Carolinians, please at least know whose minding the store and what startlingly narrow policies they want us all to follow.
**NOTE: At the rally that was he;d right before the legislature voted to put this on the ballot, ten lawmakers showed up to speak (including the bill's sponsors), as well as Bill Brooks from the North Carolina Family Policy Council and Tony Perkins from the Family Research Council. Plus groups like NOM promoted the event. (Full video here)
So while I know that those folks won't show to this rally, since the anti-equality movement becomes a thousand times more careful when campaign season rolls around, you should know that Baity is very connected to the current fight. That is undeniable.
