Audio: Silly caller—NOM's Roback Morse only wants to *make* Nazi comparisons, not acknowledge them #glaadcap
She said it. She said it quite clearly, indeed. And proudly, presumably. NOM's Jennifer Roback Morse spoke at length about how “the parallels” between Nazi Germany and contemporary America “are really quite chilling,” based solely on America's growing support for same-sex marriage.
But Ms. Roback Morse operates in the modern "pro-family" movement, so when a caller asks her to simply acknowledge what she herself chose to put on record, she acts as if its unworthy of her address:
NOM's Morse Dodges Question About Comparing America To Nazi Germany [EQ Matters]
Well no, Ms. Morse, Nazi comparisons are not ever what this marriage conversation should be about. But you made it part of the conversation. You said it (along with similarly hostile statements), not us. You alone. Jennifer Roback Morse. By your own volition. Of your own free will. As part of your paid role with the National Organization For Marriage. You put these ahistorical and deeply offensive claims out in to the ether, in order to make your own public points to deny loving same-sex couples of freedom. This is on you, not this caller!
Once again, we are finding that nothing shocks the far-right more than their own words.
