Latest #Amendment1 Voice: Man who's vowed to 'destroy','bring down' any govt. that supports same-sex marriage

by Jeremy Hooper

Just a reminder about what Orson Scott Card said of same-sex marriage back in 2008:

Regardless of law, marriage has only one definition, and any government that attempts to change it is my mortal enemy. I will act to destroy that government and bring it down, so it can be replaced with a government that will respect and support marriage, and help me raise my children in a society where they will expect to marry in their turn. So you'll have to forgive me if I don't place much stock in what the writer says now about North Carolina's Amendment One fight, regardless of how many "I have gay friends" claims Mr. Scott Card uses to couch those views:

There's no need to legalize gay marriage. I have plenty of gay friends who are committed couples; some of them call themselves married, some don't, but their friends treat them as married. Anybody who doesn't like it just doesn't hang out with them.
...
There are no laws left standing that discriminate against gay couples. They can visit each other in the hospital. They can benefit from each other's insurance.

No, legalizing gay marriage is not about making it possible for gay people to become couples.

It's about giving the left the power to force anti-religious values on our children. Once they legalize gay marriage, it will be the bludgeon they use to make sure that it becomes illegal to teach traditional values in the schools.
…
The left is at war with the family, and they want control of our children's education. That's what those signs on the lawns are about.

"The left" is the one at war, Mr. Scott Card? So wait, what non-warlike implements are you planning to use when it comes time to overthrow the American government—peace doves and daisies?
