Spitzer issues clear apology; your turn, 'family' groups who so eagerly used his work to shun equality

Considering the existence of Eliot, this might not be the Spitzer apology that the 21st century history books consider most notable. But for LGBT people who have been marginalized and stigmatized by the work, it is the most meaningful:

“I believe,” it concludes, “I owe the gay community an apology.”
