And the award for clumsiest insertion of gay marriage into a campaign ad goes to Congressman Quayle (R-AZ)
"Spend more and announce he's for gay marriage"? Only in a conservative Republican's campaign ad would those two things find conflation. And only in that same setup would the one the side of increased unity be painted as the "divider" in the equation.
