Are you being intentionally obtuse, NOM's Thomas Peters?
From the National Organization For Marriage's blogger and Culture Director:
Thomas, when I try to revoke your (theoretical) marriage the way you are trying to take away my (actual) marriage, then get back to me.
Are all opponents of marriage equality guided by animus? No, not by a long shot. But more than a few unfortunately (and admittedly) are. Plus you yourself, Thomas, have admitted that you support a twelve step program geared towards "changing" gay people. You will also spend next month rallying young people right alongside Robert Gagnon, a man who has said jaw-dropping things about gays and their supposed allies in the culture.
So yeah, NOM's Culture Director who is paid to oppose my legal marriage and its benign continuation: If you want to talk about animus and the clear divides between supporting equality and supporting civil discrimination, most of us are quite confident having that conversation. And frankly, I'm more than happy to have it publicly with you, someone who says stuff like this:
That goes an eensy bit beyond marriage policy, my friend.
