Two extremely anti-gay voices join NOM, endorse Wendy Long for U.S. Senate
I've already told you about NOM's endorsement of Wendy Long, the anti-equality Republican who is challenging U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY). Now check out these two other just-announced endorsements.
One, Rev Jason McGuire:
This would be the very same Jason McGuire who has likened same-sex marriage to having an abusive father…
"When a child grows up under an abusive father,
it is very difficult for the child to grow up to understand
a loving heavenly father. My fear is that what
happens culturally, with the issue of same-sex marriage, is...
a generation from now we look back
and it will be that much more difficult for a
generation of young people that have grown up
to look back and recognize the relationship between
Christ and the church."

…who says marriage equality is a lie of Satan…
"Your ultimate enemy is a spiritual enemy -- Satan.
That's where this lie is coming from"

…and who claims that pro-equality lawmakers who support "evil" (like Gillibrand, presumably) are going to go to hell…
"When we're talking about a Senator Duane
or an Assemblyman O'Donnell who's sponsoring same-sex marriage,
we're not only talking about a legislator
that is taking a position against God's word,
but a legislator who, if they die without Jesus Christ,
dies without a home in Heaven and an eternity in Hell"

Also, under McGuire's leadership, McGuire and fellows distributed church bulletin inserts that called homosexuality "perverted & twisted" and said that it will lead to the "destruction of your immortal soul."
That's one endorsement. The other comes from Carl Paladino:
Yes, this Carl Paladino—the one who says he doesn't want kids "brainwashed into thinking that homosexuality is an equally valid and successful option":
That's one hell of a start there, Wendster. It's certainly not the tone of the New York that I've lived in for the past decade. But I guess when facing someone as strong and respected as Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, one must double down on the incumbent's perceived weaknesses. And since legally sanctioned discrimination is certainly a weak spot for the Senator, I guess legally sanctioned discrimination will be the card this challenger plays. That's unfortunate.
