FRC now targeting public universities; trying to nix UL's LGBT studies program
This comes from Louisiana native Tony Perkins:
Will you join me in standing for Biblical and traditional morality in Louisiana?
Please help me stop the University of Louisiana's plans to offer an academic minor in "LGBT Studies"?
I see this type of indoctrination and intimidation with our tax dollars in places like California and Massachusetts, but I didn't expect to see it in my home state of Louisiana.
Now, homosexual activists and their allies are working in our state's higher education system, conspiring to indoctrinate Louisiana college students with the message that homosexual behavior is normal and should even be celebrated. A professor at UL Lafayette has launched a minor in lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) studies for "students interested in issues of sexual orientation and gender identity."
...
The program's web site links to radical homosexual organizations that demand the forced affirmation of homosexual relationships through the redefinition of marriage. Omitted, however, are links to other important organizations that provide information on homosexuality, such as NARTH (National Association for Research and Therapy of Homosexuality) or PFOX (Parents and Friends of Ex-Gays and Gays).
FRC Action Alert
No Tony, you're confused—LU does have programs that make use of PFOX and NARTH's "ex-gay" teachings, you're just looking in the wrong department. Check either the English department, under fiction, or the Science department, under junk.
