'Stop special interests from redefining marriage' says K Street special interest trying to redefine marriage
Sometimes you just have to laugh:
The definition of marriage in Washington is under attack, not just by the Governor andLegislature but, by the deep-pocketed elite and their corporations in Washington.
Preserve Marriage Washington is relying on you to give generously to overcome this apparent advantage. Please donate right here.
As you read last week and this, those who would destroy God’s definition of marriage, and render terms like husband and wife meaningless, have a huge financial advantage, raising nearly $1 million dollars in June. What you may not have heard is that with their money, opponents of traditional marriage have already bought $1 million dollars of television time for the fall.

This message comes from Chris "gays treat their children like accessories" Plante, who works for the National Organization For Marriage. As you surely know, the National Organization For Marriage is a multi-million dollar special interest group that works from Washington D.C.'s famous K Street. And as you also surely know, Washington state has passed marriage equality and the Governor has signed it into law—so it's actually NOM that is trying to take away what the people-elected legislature has made law (i.e. trying to redefine the state of marriage in a state that should have marriage equality).
But of course NOM traffics in blatant lies that claim their operation as grassroots, that position their movement as in a constant state of suffer, and that says civil marriage policy should be governed by what NOM's (Catholic) staffers think will "destroy God’s definition of marriage." Don't buy it, Washington staters. Or better yet: Don't let NOM and its Frank Schubert–directed charade buy yet another Pyrrhic "victory" that history will inevitably overturn.
