Growing claim: If Democrats win, God will angrily roast your Thanksgiving turkey
The American Family Association's OneNewsNow site continues the now-prevalent far-right trend of suggesting that a Democratic victory in November will bring forth the wrath of a certain man upstairs. And no, by man upstairs, I don't mean that schmuck on the floor above who's always having 3AM parties on a school night. No, no—I mean God. It's now a big part of the conservative Republican strategy: telling the electorate that God is lying in wait for the donkey's dominance before throwing a rapturous temper tantrum.
This one comes from Jan Markell, the founder of something called Olive Tree Ministries:
"If God rewards them with a victory, then I have to believe it's a further judgment on us, because I can't imagine God being on the side of this kind of darkness," she says. "I just can't!" [One News Now]
As of press time, God had yet to endorse.
