NOM's fitting new image: A pretend version of marriage
After months of using a background image that pretended that the decision of whether or not California gets to keep marriage equality is up in there air (hint: it's not), NOM has finally changed its Facebook cover photo. This is the new one:

...of two children pretending to be a bride and groom. What could be better imagery for an organization whose whole marriage view is built on fantasy and pretense?
On a side note: During my time on the elementary school playground, I was "married" to more than a few little girls, complete with Lifesaver ring exchange and everything. I still married a man.
