NOM planning a second 'March For Marriage'
This is an incredibly silly idea:
Last year, at least there was a reason for people to show up in DC and march. There were court cases with national attention. It made "sense," as far as that goes, for NOM to have a presence outside the Supreme Court. And yet their crowd was still quite slight—certainly well under what they wanted (despite later spin).
But now? They really think they are going to draw a crowd? For what: To support House Republicans' go-nowhere legislation? Who, other than a small cadre of Catholics and other local diehards, are going to take time out of a workday (June 19 is a Thursday) for such a purpose-less event?
What an odd little organization.
**UPDATE: In an image they have uploaded but yet to publish, NOM shows a picture of the U.S. Capitol. I'm assuming that is where the march will be geared/located:
