'The vapors'?
Extreme-tongued Matt Barber, professional sayer of things that he thinks makes him sound tough and strong against those of us who stand for equality but that really make him a jokey impression that we LGBT political geeks good-naturedly perform at conferences and assorted gatherings, is today channeling a 1950s southern belle in his support of boxer Evander Holyfield's anti-gay statements:

My oh my, what ever will I do to stave off these vapors? Perhaps a lovely mint julep on the veranda might calm my troubled bustle.
Ha. Actually, Matt, those of us who responded were just kind of like, "Oh, look at the silly things this guy said. That's out of step with the future." So I guess you could say "the vapors" in the sense that aggressively anti-gay views like his (and yours) will all but vaporize in just a generation or so.
