Audio: Tony Perkins attacks show he's clearly never seen, families he's likely never met
As RightWingWatch aptly notes:
"[Tony] Perkins seems to have been so blinded by outrage in watching the show that he missed the fact that it is Charlie’s friend, and not Charlie herself, who has same-sex parents. And that Charlie is a girl."

Misidentification and misgendering aside, it's truly disgusting how Tony ends with the "he's [sic] gonna need luck" threat. Have these folks no decency? We're talking about a minor. A child. Even if these social conservative thought leaders have convinced themselves that the gay parents are going to break the kid, shouldn't they at least be rooting for the child to overcome the obstacles they see? Is it really Christian of them to fill the internet with all kinds of propaganda that these kids (or at least their nonfiction counterparts) will likely grow up and see?!
I've already talked about how becoming a parent has changed everything for me in terms of these attacks and their weightiness. It's too bad the "protect children" crowd's own choice to become parents didn't bring about the same sort of reflection regarding the little human beings whose families and own senses of inner peace they are trying to wound—AS.A.CAREER!!
