Erik Rush responds to my GLAAD column by equating homosexuality with rape, murder
Conservative activist Erik Rush is none too happy with me for responding to his prediction that activists like CNN's Sally Kohn are going to cause violent uprisings against gay people. So he replied in a typical way: by comparing homosexuality and its tolerant teaching to that which might apply to rape or murder.
Oh, and somehow I misquoted him and doctored his words, even though I posted the audio clip.
Clip is cued to the beginning of Rush's schpiel; the rape/murder part begins at 7:35 and the "misquoting" part comes around 9:35.
I also "love" this distinction he's trying to make between people who are both self-accepting and have a platform and those just everyday gays who he apparently thinks are nice and quiet enough to not get hurt. Such a cop out.
