His movement drowning, Tony Perkins looks to 'Roe'

by Jeremy Hooper

Even though it's really much more like Loving v. Virginia, the anti-LGBT movement is desperate to turn modern marriage cases into the new Roe v. Wade. Here's FRC prez Tony Perkins doing just that, while throwing in a "tinkering under the hood" argument for good (read: terrible) measure:

Fortunately, no one on the equality side is trying to "eradicate" "natural or moral law." It's Tony Perkins who is trying to hijack those principles, casting out anyone who doesn't live, love, and pray the way he does.

But of course Tony Perkins wants marriage equality to be the new abortion. His movement makes a lot of money fighting choice, and it sure beats office work. With just the one prolonged fight, many of the "values" conservatives have been able to purchase a nice family home and a sensible car. But with multiple decades-long fights? Beach houses for everyone!
