NOM announces more speakers for its silly little 'March for Marriage' stunt

by Jeremy Hooper

In addition to the organization president who has banked virtually no win during his time at the helm (Brown), a New York state senator whose vitriolic advocacy against the Empire State's marriage bill likely helped it pass sooner than it would've otherwise (Diaz), and a California bishop who is determined to define Catholicism circa 2014 by who and what it is against rather than what it is for (Cordileone), pro-discrimination D.C. special interest group the National Organization For Marriage has added four more speakers to its June 19 "march for marriage" roster. These include a supporter of Russia's anti-gay laws who claims homosexuality is not natural and has a penchant for linking homosexuality to pedophilia (Owens); a California pastor who routinely blames Satan for marriage equality and equates children with gay parents with children who lost parents on 9/11(Garlow); a lawyer with the legal outfit that failed—and failed hard—at defending its movement in the Proposition 8 federal case (Nimocks); and the head of the French organization that is unlike NOM in that it actually draws big crowds, yet is just like NOM in that it has done absolutely nothing to stop equality in its home nation (de la Rochere):

[NOM's March For Marriage]

This is the lineup NOM hopes will turn out big crowds. On a Thursday. In June.

Adorable.
