'Are you now or have you ever been a gay rights supporter?'
Apparently believing it's an earlier era much more palatable to his anti-gay activism, longtime voice of hostility Peter LaBarbera is going full-on McCarthy, hoping to root out politicians who he can then flog for simply supporting the reality of certain Americans and their basic rights as tax-paying human beings:

I actually agree that people should be forthright about their support for basic human rights, as that is a noble cause and a public good. But of course Peter isn't wanting folks to come forward so he can applaud their humane stances. Peter still believes there is mileage left in his efforts to turn this whole acceptance thing around to his favor. He still thinks that supporting equality, which is quickly becoming the boon that it should have always been, is a liability that he can exploit for his and his aligned party's political gain.
