Video: The curious case of Megyn Kelly's infatuation with Tony Perkins
I have a theory that Megyn Kelly caught in-house blowback from saying, on air on the day that the Supreme Court began hearing the historic marriage cases of 2013, that Family Research Council president Tony Perkins has no credible arguments against marriage equality. I think that the exceedingly anti-gay Perkins complained, and loudly, and that the network gave some sort of an order to put Perkins on air, often, on Kelly's top-rated show. I don't think she really wants him on there. Just my theory.
Whatever the reason, Tony is practically a regular on her show these days, doing damage to the star anchor's reputation as one of the more independent voices at Fox News. Media Matters has more on the unfortunate broadcasting trend:
