Southern Baptist Convention's ERLC prez all but concedes on marriage equality

Russell Moore, president of the Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission of the Southern Baptist Convention, absolutely wants evangelicals to keep fighting a battle of ideas on marriage and why they think it should remain properly penised and vagina-ed. But he is pretty clear that the legal fight is over:

Screen Shot 2014-10-06 At 12.02.08 PmThe Supreme Court has declined to take up appeals from states in which the courts have found same-sex marriage to be a constitutional right. This paves the way for same-sex marriage in many, perhaps most, places in the United States. Many Christians may be unaware of how momentous this is, since the denial of cases doesn’t come with quite the shock and awe of a ruling handed down. The effect though is wide-ranging.

"FINALLY!" cry out the homeless, hungry, and truly downtrodden who've been waiting patiently for contrived culture wars against loving families to subside so that maybe true social ills could earn some address.
