FRC's fifth day of fasting-for-discrimination: Attorneys arguing marriage hold 'the survival of many nations' in their hands
On Saturday, the Family Research Council dedicated its daily call for prayer-and-fasting toward the attorneys who will be arguing for marriage inequality before the US Supreme Court. Because as FRC will tell you, Sodom and Gomorrah proves that God is going to end those nations that get too friendly with the gays:
Our task today will be to pray for the attorneys as they prepare what will certainly be the case of their lives, the outcome on which could hang the survival of many nations. Given God’s warning regarding Sodom and Gomorrah in Jude 7, and America’s role among the western nations, that is not hyperbole. Pushing the homosexual agenda upon the nations of the world has been a key component, if not the key component of the Obama administration’s foreign policy (see Or Else; Kept Quiet, Faith Marginal).
...
Please pray for each Attorney: John J. Bursch and Joseph L. Whalen:
-- May these good men be surrounded by the presence and power of God from now through their presentations and in the years ahead. (Acts 4:24-31; Jas 4:10)
-- May God superintend their preparation, giving them presence of mind, efficiency of time, and anointing with natural and supernatural knowledge and wisdom (1 Cor 12:7, 8; Jas 1:5).
-- May they receive God-given Courage and Strength, mixed with Christ-like humility, in a measure neither has ever known (Josh 1:7; 2 Chr 32:7 ).
-- May they be given unmistakable peace that passes all understanding in their preparation and when they stand to present their case on April 28 - perfect peace and calm, unfettered by any anxiety from within or without! (Col 3:12-15; Heb 4:16b;
-- May they know God’s full protection; indeed, may angels be sent to guard them, giving them safety and preserving them from harm, accidents, assaults, extortion or threats (like we saw in Indiana), and every other danger. May they, like David when he slew Goliath, be fearless, knowing that they are not only defending a cause that is right but that they are standing in the name and power of the Author of all that is right! (1 Sam 17:45-47; Ps 37:5-6; Heb 1:14)
-- May they be given by the Holy Spirit inspiration, vitality, animation, sharpness, and persuasiveness, not only before the Court, but also the American people, who will hear the recorded arguments just 2 hours after they are presented. May their arguments be authoritative and convincing to the court, and to the nation – such as no man can refute (Is 54:17; Lk 21:14-15; 1 Cor 2:1-16, esp. 6-8; Col 4:3-6).
-- May their words, not by their volume or tone, but by their spiritual power be so weighty that they will ring in men’s ears even after court is concluded and all men stand before the throne of God to give an account for themselves (Lk 4:36; 1 Cor 2:4-5; 4:20 ).
-- May we all pray with repentant humility as Daniel did (Dan 9:4-9), but with the same boldness that young David showed before Goliath (1 Sam 17:45-47).

Or, you know—for the first time in recent memory, the attorneys could just present some semblance of a credible and legally compelling case to the court. What a novel idea, huh?
No word on how soon God will end us, and other nations, if SCOTUS recognizes the equality of gay and lesbian taxpayers in all fifty states. But my family does have a vacation planned for late June, so if the deity could wait until at least July, that'd be preferable. Thanks so much.
