Questions 'Face The Nation' should ask Tony Perkins (but likely won't, sadly)
Family Research Council president Tony Perkins has revealed that he will be on CBS News' venerable Face The Nation this coming Sunday ostensibly to discuss the upcoming Supreme Court cases on marriage:

That being so, I've assembled a list of questions that the moderator (presumably regular host Bob Schieffer) might want to ask Mr. Perkins so that the show's viewers get a sense of who this man truly is and how he has advocated against LGBT people. Let's begin.
- Mr. Perkins, you recently said that it doesn't matter to you how the Supreme Court rules since God has already decided. So why are you appearing on this show to discuss this case if you don't believe the court even has a proper role?
- Mr. Perkins, during an appearance on an obscure Christian radio show based out of North Carolina, you once claimed it's "a fact" that gay people will face eternal damnation. Will your lawyers be presenting this "fact" to the Supreme Court?
- Mr. Perkins, your organization recently issued a prayer sheet to supporters that attacked same-sex parenting by presenting a piece of scripture suggesting people who hurt children would be better off being drowned in the sea. Should gay parents remember to wear life vests if they're near the Family Research Council's headquarters?
- Mr. Perkins, not too long ago your organization put out a brochure on same-sex marriage that began with a picture of a horse and a story that tried to link the push for same-sex marriage to a theoretical push for bestiality. Do you truly believe that if the Supreme Court legalizes marriage in all fifty states in June, jockeys might be marrying their horses by the time the Kentucky Derby rolls around?
- Mr. Perkins, you have many times equated homosexuality with drug abuse. So are you insistent that gay people attend in-patient rehab, or might you be willing to allow them out-patient or at-home care?
- Mr. Perkins, you are a major advocate of so-called "ex-gay" therapy, even though science rejects and many states are moving to ban it. So let's get real here for a second: why should I even have you on this program discussing gay and lesbian couple's legal rights when you don't believe people should even be gay or lesbian?
- Mr. Perkins, you have several times claimed that your opponents are "held captive by the enemy," meaning the devil. Would you like to tell us now which Supreme Court justices you believe to be possessed by this demon?
- Mr. Perkins, your organization issued a prayer sheet calling on each Supreme Court justice to come to Jesus. Why doesn't FRC respect the religious freedom of the court's three Jewish justices?
- Mr. Perkins, you have suggested that deciding in favor of marriage equality could be an impeachable offense for a judge. Can you tell me now what basis, other than your own personal dictate for same-sex relationships, you, a non-attorney or legal scholar, have for making such a strong claim?
- Mr. Perkins, we could quite literally fill the entire hour of this episode of Face The Nation with only clips of you viciously denigrating LGBT people. Would that have been a better use of my time then having you on here to play the buttoned-up conservative pundit role that you so love to play?
Take any or all of them and use them verbatim, CBS News. No credit needed.
