Onetime key NOM ally arrested for child pornography
In 2012, the National Organization For Marriage aligned itself with the politically active Orthodox Jewish community in Brooklyn, NY, in order to elect a Republican named David Storobin to a lone six-month term in the New York state senate. At the time, NOM president Brian Brown specifically singled out one man, Joseph Hayon, for his leadership:
At the time, I found this notable because Hayon and his team were so extremely anti-gay that I saw it as proof that NOM really was an animus-driven group (they were still more into hiding it back then). Today, some truly disturbing new details have emerged about this very same Joseph Hayon:
An ultra-conservative one-time Brooklyn city council candidate — whose campaign slogan was “Our children are our future” — has been nabbed for possessing and sharing kiddie porn, prosecutors said Friday.
Joseph Hayon, 37, was arrested Thursday and admitted to police that he traded the sick pics of kids between the ages of 2 and 12 in December 2014 using his email account [email protected], according to a criminal complaint.

The disgraced pol has three priors, including a 2014 assault charge for closing a door on someone’s hand and driving without a license in 2013, police sources said.

I would say it's unreal that this man, who was so hellbent on painting family men like myself as threats to children, has been revealed to be truly threatening the welfare of the most innocent among us. But that kind of thing seems to be emerging all the time these days, doesn't it?
